About the work
Micropraxis is a short work for piccolo and bass flute. The bass flute performs a mixture of percussive sounds and tongue rams, creating a texture that the piccolo material expands upon.
Although the two instruments often act almost independently, moments of unity emerge in which their timbres combine into a more aggressive, concentrated statement.
Independent instrumental layers occasionally converge into a single aggressive sonority.
