Stephen de Filippo
Stephen de Filippo is an Australian composer and sound artist whose work moves between instrumental composition, electroacoustic music, field recording, multimedia, and experimental performance.

His practice explores the ways sound is shaped by bodies, environments, technologies, systems, and forms of access or restriction. His work often brings acoustic instruments into unstable relationships with electronics, amplified bodily sound, field recordings, video, and unconventional performance techniques.
Stephen's work has been presented internationally in concert, festival, exhibition, academic, and site-responsive contexts. Across these settings, composition functions not only as the organization of musical material, but as a way of examining place, movement, attention, embodiment, and the conditions through which sound becomes perceptible.
Stephen is an Associate Artist with the Australian Music Centre and Assistant Professor of Music at Canadian University Dubai.

Fruit Map
Created in 2011, Fruit Map is a hobby project documenting local fruit trees, herbs, berries, and vegetables I found in the places where I lived. Many entries include short descriptions and custom icons recording whether the fruit was readily accessible—or whether reaching it might involve trespassing. At the time, I was interested in freeganism and regularly consulted and updated the map.
The map became largely inactive around 2013, and I later donated its locations to Falling Fruit, the global foraging map. More recently, I have begun adding occasional new entries as I move around the world.
