About the work

Micropraxis explores swift transitions between flute sound, percussive sounds, and vocal sounds, creating dense and hurried gestures as the performer attempts to navigate rapidly between these different modes of performance within fixed time durations.

Rather than developing extended musical ideas, the work focuses on the physical act of constantly shifting between contrasting sound worlds. These abrupt changes create a compressed musical landscape in which timbre, gesture, and bodily movement become the primary structural materials.

Swift transitions between flute, percussion, and voice create dense, compressed gestures within fixed durations.
