About the work
Front-face Side-face is a series of short video works created for clarinettist Kaichi Hirayama. The project places the performer within a multimedia format, using recorded image and clarinet performance as interconnected materials.
Presented as a sequence of short studies, the work explores changing perspectives on the performer, the instrument, and the physical gestures involved in producing sound.
