Created in 2011, Fruit Map is a hobby project documenting local fruit trees, herbs, berries, and vegetables I encountered in the places where I lived. Many entries include short descriptions and custom icons recording whether the fruit was readily accessible, or whether reaching it might involve trespassing. At the time, I was interested in freeganism and regularly consulted and updated the map.
The map became largely inactive around 2013, and I later donated its locations to Falling Fruit, the global foraging map. More recently, I have begun adding occasional new entries as I move around the world.
