This work was composed in participation in Kalv Festivalen 2018. In 2018, the first composition academy in Kalv took place. For a week in August, eight composers from around the world (China / Mongolia, Australia, Italy, France, Germany / Turkey, England and Sweden), two composition supervisors (Pierluigi Billone and Per Mårtensson) and the ensemble Norrbotten NEO worked together in the small rural the village of Kalv, two hours east of Gothenburg, as an introduction to the Kalv Festival. During the festival, works by the composers were then performed at two concerts, together with representative works by the two composition supervisors.
